The United Kingdom was never ruled by others but Ireland separated from the United Kingdom in
1922.

At the beginning of the 20th century Britain was the worlds most powerful nation. Britain
influenced world cultures including the British invasion into the American music.

dance is the Morris dance which is related to the mummers play. People still gather for the May
Day festivals on the first of May to celebrate the first day of summer.

The official religion of United Kingdom is Christianity. But it separated from the Northern Ireland
which is Roman Catholic. But it impacts the people who are Islamic or believe in other religions
because it is Christianity based.
6. Are rites of passage in this country similar to or different from rites of passage in the U.S.?
Explain your answer using specific pieces of evidence.
The rites of passage are similar to the United States because it is a very modern, industrialized
country. Rites of passage examples are getting their first job, getting promoted, getting married
having children, and retiring in the 60s. These are the main markers of significant life changes.
7. What tips on interpersonal behavior might you give to an American who is about to travel to

The business attire rules are somewhat relaxed in England. Always be punctual in England.
Decision making is slower in England than in the United States. And a simple handshake is the
standard greeting in England for business and home visiting.

guns and no civilians are allowed to have guns. Britain has no space so they are forced to live

No, it is the same as United States.

Fast food has impacted diet both positive and negative because it does provide fatty foods to

It is typically the same educational experience in this country as the same in U.S.

Its cultural influences is football but soccer in the United States. The predominantly Christian
life. And the British national anthem God Save the Queen.

The United Kingdom has the 5th largest national economy and 8th largest in the world. In 2013 the
UK was the 4th largest exporter in the world and the 4th largest importer.

13.How do people of this country spend their leisure time? List at least five activities. Would
you want to live there?
Visit attractions, go to the beach, go to city parks, cycling in Britain, and play soccer. And not
really I like America.

14.List (in order of significance) what you feel are the three biggest problems that this country
needs to resolve.
The air pollution in UK needs to be resolved, poor cell phone reception, and obesity.

15.Are all people treated equally in this country? Why or why not? Explain your answer using
specific evidence.
Yes, everybody in the UK is treated equally they have mixed races and mixed religions. UK is
similar to the United States. And they created an equal pay act between men and women
