wanted to start off with this video to

give you guys a sense of how this
company is perceived as and to
exaggerate the unique qualities of these
dancers.

Biography
Westside

Dance Project was founded by

Jessie Riley.
She formed Westside Dance Project in
2009.
They also train under the direction of
Dmitri Kulev.
Westside Dance Project is located at
Orange County at Dmitri Kulevs
Classical Ballet Academy.

Impact
Westside

Dance Project consists of a group of young

dancer ranging from 12-18 years of age. These
dancers perform in their annual Westside concerts as
well as compete at convention competitions and other
competitions including Youth American Grand Prix and
Spotlight Awards. The dancers have gotten the
opportunity to learn choreography from such
choreographers as Lauren Adams, Norbert DeLa Cruz
lll, Jason Parsons, Patrick Needham, Billy Bell and
many others.
The dancers have very clean and precise lines and
alignment. You can also notice that all these dancers
have great extensions.
Their costumes are simple and fit; it helps to depict
the movement and lines of the dancers.

Recognition and Awards

Westside

Dance Project has produced many

shows including Bodies Never Lie, Vessel,
Emerge-A Collective, Thread, which was a
collaborative performance with Bare Dance
Company and Soul Escape.
Jessie Rileys choreography has been honored
at YAGP and her piece went on their tour Gala
in 2011. Westside Dance Project has been
accepted to Dancing Under the Stars Festival
in Palm Desert, CA in 2009, 2010, and 2013.
One of the Westside Dancers, Nicole
Ishimaru, won Spotlight Awards.

SUMMER INTENSIVE!
Westside Dance Project is sponsoring an intensive with Jason Parsons
and Norbert DeLa Crz lll, August 23rd and 24th at Dmitri Kulev Classical
Ballet Academy. They will be teaching a three hour class each day.
