B. Course Description
This course discusses about the teaching approaches in the secondary social sciences. It encompasses the discourses of the teacher and student to understand
intelligently on the how and why tidbits of the teaching learning approach in secondary social sciences. It is designed to stimulate teacher and student critical thinking to create
exciting and meaningful teaching programs and lessons in social studies by enabling teacher and student choose relevant and purposeful activities and teaching strategies. It will
encourage teacher and student to conduct research-based learning and look for a new and challenging ways of facilitating a critical and reflective teacher and students in their
teaching learning environment.

The course engage on spiral, chronological, conceptual, causal and cause and effect chain, collaborative, community-based instruction, continuous progress assessment,
graphic organizer, group and team teaching; problem-solving, multimedia-aided instruction and Netizenship approaches making it meaningful, integrative, powerful and
challenging thus, liberating students in the classroom from the traditional and monotony way of teaching social studies.
C. General Objectives
At the end of the semester 100% of the students will be able to master the 95% of the following objectives

Formulate and construct CERA (Content, Experience, Reflection and Application) paper using primary and secondary sources of information;
Enumerate, define and explain the essential elements on the teaching approaches in the secondary social sciences;
Point-out and discuss specific teaching approaches in the secondary social sciences that is bestly suited in an AP critical and reflective teaching learning environment;
Tell and demonstrate basic elements on collaborative and community-based instruction approaches in secondary social sciences;
Define and list-down different learning style of the student to constructively design a paradigm of approaches in secondary social sciences that multimedia can bestly
facilitate as a tool;
6. Guide and provide direction step by step approach in planning, implementing, managing, and assessing successful and effective learning experiences for the
students; and lastly
7. Simulate and practice in a team or group collaborative critical and reflective teaching learning process inside and outside the school room.

Attendance policy:
For the MWF classes allowable absences is only up to 10 absences
For the TTH classes allowable absences is only up to 7 absences
