The Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat is an exceptional place for a spiritual

journey. The moment we entered into the place, we can already feel the
unworldly sensation. It is as what DOM Stephen said that the monastery itself
was like heaven in earth. The designs in the Abbey are remarkable as well.
From the cloister, to the garden, to the dining room, and in the chapter house,
everything had a meaning even the small details. We never knew that not
having a flower in a garden by itself would mean something.
The room where they preserve their vestments caught my attention as well.
We learned a lot from DOM Stephen; even his small tips on preserving the
smell on our clothing through the use of an air-conditioned room and fabric
conditioners. Vestments aside though, the tour was gratifying because not
only did we learn a lot about the place itself, but we also learned about the
experience of the people who happily choose to live there.
