Set Up Wizard
We are pleased to announce the launch of new features in the Nexia Home Intelligence
web portal. The new updates were released on July 31, 2012.

These updates will automatically be available in all Nexia Home Intelligence accounts. No
action is required of you or your customers to receive these updates.

All Nexia Home Intelligence subscribers will receive an email communication from Nexia
informing them of the changes.

There are 2 major updates in the 2.3 release

Set up wizard enhanced and simplified set up process with step-by-step instructions and videos
included in the web portal
Tiered Pricing new pricing tiers for camera viewing

This document includes an overview of the new set up wizard.

Note: These screenshots are not 100% final. This is a working document and exact text and
instructions may change slightly after testing to improve the customer experience.

Nexia Home Intelligence Set Up Wizard

Creating a new account
The account creation and set up process has been improved in the Nexia 2.3 firmware
release which went live on 07/31/12.
This update is a complete overhaul of set up process based on extensive feedback from our
users, Nexia subscriber advisory board, and a deeper understanding of optimal Z-wave
enrollment and communications.
The slides in this presentation will demonstrate the new process step by step.
NOTE:
The new set up process features a new
enrollment cart at the heart of this
process. Depending on what devices
the user selects to enroll, the set up
process will be slightly different than a
user who has different devices. This
means the process is customized to
each specific user and the devices they
are enrolling. It removes any
unnecessary steps for devices they are
not enrolling.

This information is used to help us work with our dealers and channel partners.

Examples: Examining lag between purchase and account set up, satisfaction compared by purchase location,
specific communications based on purchase location.

Email Confirmation
Confirmation email is sent to the Nexia subscribers email account that was entered on
previous screen.
Login to email account and click on link to complete account activation.

Open the email from Nexia Home Intelligence with a link to confirm account
and complete the activation process.

This is a new look and feel versus the prior email that went to new users.

Clicking the email link opens the login page.
Enter the username and password that was entered on the previous screens

Home Set-Up
Enter information about the house where Nexia Home Intelligence is installed:

Name, Location, and an option to add a picture to be associated with this house if desired.

Check box to automatically populate the home address if it is the same as the mailing
address provided during account setup

Additional devices can be enrolled at a later time.

In this example; a Nexia Bridge, Lock, Dimmer Module, Door / Window Sensor, and a
Motion Sensor have been selected for enrollment. This determines the instructions and
steps on the following screens.
If a subscribers selects a different combination of devices to enroll, the following screens
are designed to match the specific devices selected.
Click continue after appropriate devices are selected

Set Up Process: Bridge Getting Started

In this example, the first step is adding a Bridge to the house

If the bridge was not selected in the enrollment cart, the set up wizard will move on to another device.
The bridge is not required for Schlage Cameras, American Standard AccuLink Platinum ZV Control, or the Trane
ComfortLink II Control. These devices communicate directly to the Nexia subscribers wireless router.
The bridge is required for other Z-wave devices like locks, light modules, and the 400B and 500B thermostats

Follow the onscreen instructions:

Enter the Bridge MAC ID in the box provided, click on the Continue button, and then
connect the Nexia bridge to the router and the A.C. power adaptor
