Goal: Gain and develop effective classroom management strategies.


Rationale: I believe that classroom management is an essential part of being an effective teacher. Developing my
classroom management strategies will allow me to keep my lessons moving smoothly, and maintain a positive and
safe learning environment.

Goal: Incorporate effective assessment strategies that assess of, for and as learning in a unit.
Rationale: In this practicum, emphasis is put on planning and teaching units so therefore, strategically
incorporating all three types of assessment in the unit is essential. Through triangulation of evidence, I will be
able to assess students fairly and accurately.
