Such Opulence is Love

Such opulence is loveBeautiful yet brutalIntangible in volume, but seldom everlasting.

Even frugality is futile.

Such carelessness is hopeInspired by fortuityPerfervid perseverance, but often disappointing.

Seeking love in perpetuity.

Inspired by Emily Dickinson

Structurally, I mimicked Dickinsons style of writing by writing in short, four-line, ABCB
style stanzas, paused by dashes. Grammatically, I defined my points in aphorisms and metaphors.
I used short, eloquent phrases, personification, and followed basic sentence structure.
Stylistically, I wrote of my thoughts, feelings, and psyche. My writing also differed from
Dickinsons. Dickinson often uses iambic pentameter- I did not.
