Highlights of the Week

What we have learned
Math We took our test on fractions this week. In

Daniel in the Lions Den

We often ask ourselves what Gods will is in our
lives. Gods will doesnt always seek happiness, as the
world desires. It does desire that we remain faithful, as
Daniel did when he faced King Darius and then the lions.
Though God did send an angel to protect Daniel, He did
not have to save Daniel from the Lions deadly jaws.
Even if Daniel had died, that would have been in Gods
control and under Gods will.
God gave Daniel faith and courage to face his
lions his challenges.. God can give us a strong faith
and confident trust like that of Daniel, because God gives
us His Holy spirit when we are baptized. The Holy Spirit
lives with us every day and through Gods Word He
grows our faith and gives us courage to face our lions.
Daniel was good, but he wasnt perfect. Neither
are we. Thank God for sending Jesus to save us from
sin.

preparation for our unit on area and perimeter we will be

doing the Toilet Paper Challenge. The students will get
one roll of TP. We will see which group comes up with the
most creative way to have the largest area and the
longest perimeter.
Art This week we learned about the different ways to
blend with oil pastels! Their art projects are up on the Art
board. Come check them out!
Reading We started Lawn Boy. This book is a short
lesson on economics. It is a fun read and gives the
students a fun idea for summer break!
Science- We are doing our weather science lab. The
students are using weather tools they created to take
readings.
History We will pick up with our history lessons when
we get back from Spring Break with a unit on Europe in
the Middle Ages
English We are learning all about adverbs and
prepositions. We will be taking our English test on Friday,
March 13.

Childrens Sunday. Please arrive early for the

services. After first service and before second
service your children are welcome to join our
Sunday School. They will sing, eat snacks and
learn a bible lesson. If your student is a reader
but you are unable to make it on Sunday please
let me know ASAP!

Scholastic- The orders were due today! If you have

an order but forgot to turn it in let me know and I will submit
them on Monday.
