World Hunger: What can we do to help?

World Hunger is a problem that occurs all around the world. There are many
ways that we could solve these hunger issues, as long as we work together as
nations. Something needs to be done to end world hunger everywhere. According
to Merriam-Webster, Hunger is defined as a craving or urgent need for food or a
specific nutrient. The world produces enough food to feed all 7 billion people, but
those that go hunger either do not have land to grow food or money to purchase it.
Knowing this, 13.1% of the worlds population is hungry. Thats roughly 925 million
people who go undernourished on a daily basis, consuming less than the
recommended 2,100 calories a day. Knowing a couple of these things about hunger
around the world, something must be done about it. No one deserves to go a day
without eating enough food. Three of the best ways that we as individuals can help
end world hunger is by donating to causes or organizations that will make a
difference, spreading to word to a large range of people, because the more people
that are involved and dedicated the better, and also volunteering in different places.

One of the many ways that we can help end world hunger is by donating to
different causes or organizations that will make a difference. Some of the most well-

known organizations are Action Against Hunger, Bread for the World, The Hunger
Project, and also Heifer International. Action Against Hunger works to save the lives
of malnourished children while also providing communities with access to safe
water and sustainable solutions to hunger. This organization allows you to donate in
a couple different ways on their website at www.actionagainsthunger.org/takeaction/donate. The next organization is called Bread for the World, which is a
collective Christian voice urging our nations leaders to end hunger at home and
abroad. You can donate to this organization by writing to congress, engageing your
local church, organizing your community, and becoming a Bread for the World
member. The Hunger Project is an organization that strives to end hunger and
poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and
advocating for their widespread adoption to countries throughout the world. The
Hunger Projects vision is, A world where every woman, man, and child leads a
healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity. The ways that you can donate to

One more very well-known organization is Heifer International, which has a mission
to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the
Earth. Some ways that you can help Heifer International is by donating money to
them, getting involved with them on social media, fundraising for them, and also by
experiencing heifer for yourself by doing an overnight or day camp.

Another good way of spreading the word of World Hunger is to spread it to a

large range of people. Some ways to spread the word that are most common would
be by using social media and also by having rallys to promote the issue, so that

people are more aware of it. Social media is highly used all around the world these
days, so making something popular online could potentially make a big impact and
get more people involved. The most common sources of social media that would be
good to use are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Rallies also help a lot with
promoting the issue. Yes, people already know about world hunger, but to get
people really involved and interested in getting involved you need to present them
with facts. When people know specific facts then they will most likely want to get
more involved, which would be a great result in the end.

Volunteering is also a very good way to solve the issue of world hunger, and
you even get to be actually involved in it. There are different organizations around
the world that allow people to volunteer with them, but most require you to pay
some money to get involved. A couple organizations that allow people to volunteer
are Stop Hunger Now, World Hunger Relief Inc., and also Feed my starving Children.
All three of these organizations have different ways that you can personally
volunteer to help people out that are struggling with hunger every day. Stop Hunger
Now allows you to package meals, support warehouse operations, and also assist
with administration duties. World Hunger Relief Inc. allows you to do weekend work
parties, become a World Hunger relief Inc. Ambassador, be a community service
partner, and also many other roles that you can do to help. The Feed my starving
Children organization allows you to donate money online and also to volunteer to
package meals at their workshop.

Even though it is very good to donate and volunteer as much as you can to
help solve the issue of world hunger, it is hard for a lot of people to do this. Many
people are struggling on their own and dont have money to donate to these
organizations, because they need it to support their own families. Also, many
people struggle with not having enough time to volunteer on their own time. They
may want to try helping, but its just not possible for some people with their busy
schedules of their own.

Something must be done to solve the issue of world hunger. It has been an
ongoing problem for many of years, and we can now make a change. As long as
enough people are committed to helping, the world could be brand new in the
future, with no one being hungry and everyone living healthy lives. It all starts with
you. Are you up to the challenge? Will you stand up and make a change for the
world? One person could start something great for our future.
