    Koreawerethoughtoftohavenuclearweapons.TodayNorthKoreaisinpossession
    ofanunknownamountofnuclearweaponspossiblyfourtoeight.TheDemocratic
    PeoplesRepublicofKorea(anuclearprogram)isthoughtoftohavetested3nuclear
    weaponsin2006,2009andin2013possiblyafourthaccordingtoasatelliteimage
    takenofNorthKoreastestingzone.Theyalsosuccessfullyfiredalongrangerocketin
    2012,andareinpossessionofevenmoremissiles.Therearemassamountsof
    evidenceprovingthatNorthKoreadoeshavetheseweaponsandcanposeathreat.
    Furthermore,NorthKoreaispartoftheBiologicalandToxinWeaponsConvention
    (BTWC)preventingpeoplewhohavesigneditfromcreatingbiologicalweapons,
    however,NorthKoreahasalreadybeensuspectedofholdingthem.NorthKoreadoes
    havetheneededmaterialstocreatemorenuclearandotherhazardousweaponssuch
    asfissilematerial,enricheduranium,lowenricheduraniumandpossibly38.5kgof
    plutonium.Ifsomeoftheseproblemsaren'tsolvednewoneswilljustbecreated.

    NorthKoreasaidtheyneednuclearweaponstoprotectthemselvesafterthe
    UnitedStatesthreatenedthem.ManycountriesagreethatNorthKoreashouldnotbe
    allowedtohavethiskindofnuclearpowerintheirhands.ChinaandtheSovietUnion
    wereoncestrongalliesofNorthKoreabuthavenowbackeduptherestoftheUN
    whenthesubjectofnuclearexplosivesswayedtheiropinions.

    UNInvolvements:
    TheUNcreatedResolution1718(2006)thatblockedcertaingoodsfrom
    enteringandleavingNorthKoreaalongwiththescanningofcargo.Theyalso
    madeatravelbanoneveryonewhowasinvolvedinNorthKoreasnuclear
    program.
    Resolution1874(2009)wasmadebytheUNblockingthefundingusedtoget
    nuclearweapons.
    UniversallyResolution2094(2013)wasselected,takingrestrictionsfrom
    resolution1718(2006)and1874(2009)toenforcethemfurtherandexecute
    themontoindividualpeople.
    ThereweretwomoreresolutionsmadebytheUNin20062013Resolution
    1695andResolution2087backingupinformationfromthesefirstthree.

    IfthisproblemisnotresolvedNorthKoreacancontinuetothreatenopposing
    countrieswithnuclearweapons.Theymaymakeexplanationsforeachoftheiractions
    andcausethesituationtobecomemuchmoreseriousthanitalreadyis.NorthKorea
    hasenoughmaterialstocreateevenmorehazardousweaponsandcanadvancethe
    threatalreadyimposed.

    Ifthiscontinuesothercountriesmayalsoparticipateinthe
    distributionandriskofnuclearweapons.IftheUNcontinuestoparticipateinandcome
    toaconclusionwiththisissue,itwillbemucheasiertofindareliablesolution.
