Start of Lesson
Students are to be changed and meet outside
change rooms, then will walk to courts.
A review of content covered in previous lessons is
discussed
Warm up
Netball tag is introduced
Students are placed into two teams, one team is
given bibs.
One team begins with the ball, and the aim is to
pass the ball around the group and reach a set
number of passes without the ball being intercepted.
Teams are to keep count of scores.
Progression
Increase or decrease area of play
Move one member of scoring team to the other

Revise Passing Figure of 8 passing on the run
Students are to be in groups of three, and
are to run down the court passing and
catching.
When students catch the ball they are to
stop on their grounded foot, and aim and
throw in front of the next person receiving.

Revise Shooting in small groups Knock out game


Students are placed in even groups, and
are placed at different netball hoops.
Students are to shoot the ball at the ring,
if the ball goes in they make a step
around the circle. If the ball does not go in
they stay in the same position
Aim is for students to work around the
circle and shoot from different positions
and distances with accuracy
Students are to begin on red, then move
to green and finally to blue.

run to their correct starting position. Repeat,
ensuring students get different positons each time

Implement game with correct positions and rules,


asking students to focus on ball placement.
Ensuring that students are endeavouring to follow
game rules, while implementing skills.

The teacher will provide assistance to help students


with the apps.
Conclusion:

At the end of the lesson, there will be time for


students to ask questions regarding their roles and
apps.

Inform students that the next lesson will focus on


the conformation of rules and strategies that are
required for the tournament.
