Soba Living - Malibu, CA

Description
Responsible for providing direct clinical services to adult clients and their families
enrolled in Soba Recovery Center, including individual, group and family therapy. In
collaboration with treatment team staff, the Therapist ensures quality of care
provided to clients in residential, day treatment and intensive outpatient settings,
according to clients needs and level of care.

Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receive, review and promptly respond to intake referrals within 72 hours upon
assignment of the case
Ability to manage a caseload of clients, based upon experience
Conduct Bio/Psycho/Social assessments, diagnoses and formulate treatment plans
Complete and assist clients in aftercare and discharge planning
Provide direct clinical services, including individual, group, family and/or couples
therapy to clients and their families
Willing to provide clinical services at the residential site according to need
Provide case management services as needed, including referrals to necessary
outside resources when needed
Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the agency, as appropriate
Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented client records with a quality of
documentation that meets DHCS and Joint Commission standards
Share responsibility for on-call emergency consultation and crisis intervention,
including after-hours telephone coverage
Must be available on weekends to cover emergencies and shifts as needed
Attend team meetings on a weekly basis to ensure quality care for clients
Attend staff development and general staff meetings
Abide by Soba code of conduct and model values
Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Pre-licensed therapists: MSW from an accredited school of social work, or MA in
Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other related degree AND registered
with the Board of Behavioral Services or Board of Psychology to conduct therapy
Licensed therapists: MSW from an accredited school of social work, or MA in
Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other related degree AND current
license (CA) to practice independently as an LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Clinical
Psychologist
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel
Ability to maintain accurate chart records and documentation
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and multi-task
Experience in addiction and dual diagnoses desired
Experience running process therapy groups preferred
Experience working with adults, couples and families who struggle with substance
abuse.
