Team Ground Rules and Guidelines

What are the general expectations for all members of the team?
Share responsibility when working on an assignment by assigning different parts of the
assignments to team members. If the team experiences difficulties we should resolve them
using the charter.
Always have communication with each other to make sure we turn in our assignments on
time. And in case someone is having difficulties right away contact the rest of the team so
we can help out as soon as possible.
Expectations for Time Management and Involvement
(Participation, communication with the team, accessibility, etc.)
Participate by giving input and by providing a portion of the assignment. __________Communicate and
share information through email______________________________________________________________________
Be patient for responses as we all live in different time zones. Assign leaders to each team
assignment to ensure everyone is responsible for input.
Ensuring Fair and Even Contribution and Collaboration
The Learning Team Charter is provided as a tool to encourage effective team collaboration. Please refer back to the
Learning Team Charter as you complete each of the Learning Team assignments for your class.

What strategy will you use to ensure that all team members are contributing and
collaborating appropriately? Describe the communication strategy you will use if a team
member is not contributing and collaborating effectively. How will the team manage conflicts
between team members?
As a team, we will discuss what each member is responsible for to accomplish the
assignment. If someone is not contributing, we send a group message to see what the issue
is. Should any problems arise, we will resolve them as adults and a team member should
step in as a leader to help. If the problem cannot be resolve, we will contact the professor.
By having a leader assigned for each team assignment, everyone is responsible for making
sure all material is complete and of highest quality.
Special Considerations
What do you, as a team, agree will make this team experience different from past team
experiences?
For me what makes this different than past team experiences is the fact that we are working
online from various times zones across North America and we do not know each other.
For me, Patricia Martinez this experience is new to me. It is my first time taking online
classes but I really do hope it can be productive for all of us.
For me, Sandi McCann this is also a first experience for me. I hope to learn how to interact
with classmates through electronic means and still feel as if we have worked together as a
team.
