Grade 5 PYP Exhibition 2015

Dear Parents,
Next week our fifth grade students at MBZ will start the Exhibition unit under the
transdisciplinary theme Sharing the Planet. The Exhibition is the most important part of the
IB Primary Years Program, as it highlights, celebrates and exhibits students knowledge, skills
and successes.
The information explained in this letter should be read carefully by parents, and referred to
throughout the coming eight week unit of inquiry. The roles and responsibilities of teachers
and parents are extremely important during this process so please act as a mentor and help
as much as you can throughout this learning journey.
This experience gives students the opportunity to create their own plan for learning, conduct
activities, demonstrate what they have learned and assemble an exhibit where they can
interact with an audience in a meaningful way about something that is important to them.
Emirates National School looks forward to the Grade 5 Exhibition!

Sincerely,
Aimee Clark
