Radio Trails Analysis

Trail for
(station/channel)

Coke Summer Sound

Target audience

Teenagers and young adults who know how to drink fizzy drinks such as
Coca Cola responsibly, and also like it and buy it.

Tone of voice?

American male adult, with a clear and engaging vocal tone which kept me
interested as a listener.

Sound effects?
(SFX)

The sound of people at a beach, a music player, and a bottle being downed
fast. Cheering as well. A mixture of sound effects that effectively hooked me
as a member of the audience.

Wildtrack/ambient
sound?

There wasn't any background noise, apart from the sound effects and the
music used within the trail.

Use of music?

Upbeat music plays after the sound of someone downing a bottle of coca cola
plays. Helps to make the advert seem more modern and appealing to a
younger target audience.

How many tracks?

There is only one music track, but there are three different sound effect
tracks.

Sound levels?

The sound levels are equal throughout, except for when the upbeat music
comes on. At this point, the sound levels get a little higher.

Length?

30 seconds. This is the minimum amount of time for a conventional radio trail.

elements/conventions
