[have known Kait for the year that she completed a school psychology internship with the Summit School District and, in particular, Frisco Elementary School. 1 am the School Counselor at Frisco Elementary School and have worked with Kait during the course of the 2014-2015 school year. Kait possesses many attributes and qualities of a highly-trained, professional school psychologist. I enjoy working with Kait because of her abilities in testing and observing students, her availability for consultation and emergent issues with students, in addition to her quality of counseling with students and work with teachers Kait consistently participates in teacher and staff meetings on high-needs students. She also is involved in the IEP process for referred students. She recently conducted a difficult case with a student presenting with emotional issues. I was very impressed with her ability in consultation, testing, and ability to decipher the data in order to present the case of a Serious Emotional Disability. She was able to test a defiant and difficult student with the ease and talent of a veteran school psychologist. ‘She also is willing to counsel IEP students with anxiety, depression, etc. in our school and the students, really connect with her. Kait is very skilled in being able to understand the dynamics involved in getting a student the right educational plan for the unique situation. She is invaluable to us and we ‘were so grateful to have her. Kait is willing to take on tasks to help the whole of the mental program in our district as well. She is helping to make a District Mental Health Resource. Kait is able to work with all styles of teachers and staff members, making her very adaptable to the different school building cultures, as 1 know she works in several school buildings. She is @ team player, well versed in her craft, able to bring alot of relevant data and insight to the table.
