Assessment Evidence (Stage 2)


Performance Task Description
Students will take a pre-assessment about plagiarism.
Students will have a brief discussion about what plagiarism is.
Students will view a PowerPoint Video on Plagiarism (Consequences and Types).
Students will work on a BrainPop to learn and be quizzed about plagiarism.

Students will be required to post to the discussion question on Edmodo. (After
hearing more about plagiarism, have you ever plagiarized before and what was
your biggest take away from the PowerPoint?)
Students will be placed in groups to have the option to either create a plagiarism
trivia game using moviemaker to be played with the class or create a PowToon
video about plagiarism. Students can use the following site
(http://www.plagiarism.org/plagiarism-101/prevention/) along with the curated
tools created for this unit to further their education and use as support to complete
these assignments. (Differentiated Instruction)
Students will play the trivia game.
Students will take a summative assessment about plagiarism.

Lesson 1/Day 1
Students will take a pre-assessment on Edmodo about plagiarism.
Teachers will show (Plagiarism PowerPoint Presentation) and discuss topic with
students.
Students will work on BrainPop to learn more and be quizzed about plagiarism.
Students will post to the discussion question on Edmodo. (After hearing more about
plagiarism, have you ever plagiarized before and what was your biggest take away
from the PowerPoint?)
Lesson 2/Day 2
Students will be placed in groups to have the option to either create a plagiarism
trivia game using moviemaker to play with the class or a PowToon video about
plagiarism.

Students will continue working on their plagiarism trivia game or PowToon video.
