Activity Description:
1.
Have participants sit in a circle.
2.
Introduce the activity by saying, Hello, my name is _________, I have two truths
and one lie and you have to figure out what the lie is. As the leader you are stating your
name and stating that you have two truths and one lie, For example, Hello, my name is
Talie and I am 21, have blonde hair, and I am Haitian.
3.
The awareness is to have everyone in the group contemplate of two truths and one
lie to tell the entire group. Each individual take turns expressing two truths and a lie in
any order they choose. Instruct individual not to be so obvious when telling the lie (like
stopping to think about it too long). Then the whole group has to attempt and guess which
of the three is a LIE. You get to learn something new about people and at times
individuals do laugh
4.
Continue the activity until each participant has figured out what the lie is.
Leadership Considerations:
1.
People with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most
mutual childhood disorders and can last through adolescence and adulthood. Symptoms
comprise of difficulty staying focused and paying attention, trouble controlling behavior,
and hyperactivity; thats usually considered to be over-activity. People with this disability
will adapt to this by participating and by challenging them to stay focus so they can
figure out whats the lie. This activity is suitable for the purpose of ADHD because it will
calm the participants down and this game is appropriate for mostly anyone with a
disability.
2.
People with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and autism are both a disorder
having to do with a persons brain development. These disorders are categorized, in
varying degrees, by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication
and repetitive behaviors. These people with disability will adapt well this activity because
it will challenge their social skills, and improve their verbal and nonverbal
communication.
3.
As the leader you will inspire interactions with disability persons, and promote
someone to break the ice. The leader will gain Great success in improving the social
behavior of autistic individuals and ADHD and Bipolar disorder.
4.
Also, persons with Bipolar disorder will benefit and adapt from this order his
activity because it is such a great experience to meet new people, while laughing and
enjoying yourself.
