Reflection: Assistive Device, OCCT 649

This project tapped an area that I have not developed extensively, namely, the ability to
build and construct technology. This was the most difficult project that I have ever completed,
and this was partly due to the fact that the device that I selected has either not been successfully
built by anyone or it has been built utilizing industrial materials through processes that are well
beyond my current capacities. Through the completion of this project I learned that it is
important to know my limitations, accept them, and not to undertake projects beyond my
capabilities, especially when already under high demands from a Masters program. If I had to do
a similar project again I would select a much simpler project that can be constructed with
affordable materials at home in a reasonable amount of time.
