seuss D RAPT CCSD Program 2014 1-year Student Retreat Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center, Sierra Madre, CA Purpose: To engage in the vocational and faith-based purpose of the program while building relationships with students and faculty members. Retreat Learning Objectives for All Participants: Describe one’s faith and/or spiritual background and their personal narrative of how they came to APU and their desire to work in higher education; Develop an understanding of one’s professional purpose, what has drawn them to this work and what values guide them; Develop openness and respect of a variety of faith and/or spiritual expressions in students they will serve, their cohort peers, faculty, administrators and student affairs professionals.
