Summative Assessment: Multimedia Presentation

Directions: Over this geometry unit, you and your classmates have learned about a
number of major theorems. For this presentation, your group will become the
expert on one of the major theorems weve studied in class so far. Each group of
four will sign up for a desired theorem and have it approved by me. Once you
select your theorem, you will prove this theorem. Extra credit will be given for
proving the theorem in a way different from the one presented in class. Each
student in the group will then
create a problem that utilizes the theorem. These problems can either be problemsolving applications using the theorem or may be new results (theorems) that can
be proved using the major theorem. (Note: These problems need to be of sufficient
length and should not be one-step problems.) After gathering all of your
information, you will present this in a multimedia presentation. You may use
PowerPoint, Prezi, or another presentation technology tool you are familiar with. All
diagrams must be created in GeoGebra. Below is the rubric I will use to grade your
presentations. Each member of the group will receive the group grade; there will be
no individual grades given for this project.
