PURPOSE:To enable uniform heating

and cooling of the strip, by providing a roll
with magnets so as to stick the strip of
magnetic metal fast and uniformly to the
roll by magnetic force.
CONSTITUTION:The roll 2 for heating
and cooling of the metallic strip 1 is
provided with the magnets 4 on the
surface or to the outer peripheral part
apart from the surface. By use of this roll
2, the metallic strip 1 is stuck fast to the
surface of the roll 2 and can be uniformly
heated or cooled via a heat source of a
heating medium 3.
