-Two years of building my devotion to God and became an adult in the eyes of the Catholic
Church
-Volunteered the next year and became a teachers assistant
-Led talks based off my faith and relationship with God
-Helped teenagers my age learn basic tools for their religion
o How to locate scriptures in the Bible
o Taught well-known and practiced prayers such as: Our Father, Hail Mary, Nicene Creed,
etc. as well as how to form ones own prayer in varieties of ways
o Taught background of many well-known saints and martyrs
o Taught the reasoning and significance of sacraments

Relay for Life Volunteering 2011-2015
-A 24 hour walk-a-thon that spreads cancer awareness and raises money for a cure
-For four years I was part of the team of teenagers in Santa Fe Springs and two of those years I
was in charge of the fundraising team 2013-2015
o I would make sure that the members of our team would get volunteer hours at the event
completed and fundraise enough to meet our goal
o Youth Leadership Committee Chair 2014- 2015
o -Volunteer at Santa Fe Springs events and fundraise money by running booths for various
causes (example: Senior Center in Santa Fe Springs)
o -Try to be the voice of teenagers in Santa Fe Springs and give their opinion on city
matters
Environmental Club Chair 2013-2014
-Made sure that majority of Saint Joseph classrooms had their recycling bins taken care of
-Made sure that the bottles and cans recycling bins around campus was taken care of

-Tried to spread environmental awareness facts on Jester News once a month

-Convalescent home located in Lakewood, CA
-I would entertain (read books to, play games with, etc.), feed, and help clean-up after seniors
who needed extra care
Mercedes Diaz Homes Volunteering
-I would spend time with and look after the mentally ill
o Entertain (play basketball, board games with, etc.), listen to and try to support them and
their viewpoints of situations while maintain composure and bringing reasoning to
conflicts
o -Help office when needed (file, clean, organize, type reports, etc.)
