The importance of a continuous education is a topic that I emphasize

daily to the students at Denison Montessori School. Education remains

an ongoing necessity throughout ones life because no matter how
much knowledge we have previously acquired or how experienced we
feel that we are within a particular subject area; there will always be
more that we can learn. One of the true strengths of school
psychology, as a discipline, is its dynamic, ever-changing nature.
Practices and strategies shift almost continuously and what is viewed
as best practice today could easily be functionally obsolete within only
a few years time. It is my strong belief that the harder we work to
better ourselves, as individuals, by expanding our professional abilities,
the better we will be able to support all those whom we serve.
