From UNSW Water Research Centre website, I learned about a PhD
opportunity in Optimising algal floc structure in drinking water treatment
plants. With my background in environmental chemistry, I believe my
education and practical experience to be a good fit for this research and
an asset to your team.
Like Australia, Vietnam has an intricate water system with various rivers,
lakes, and water bodies. Yet, the availability of clean and drinkable water
has always been a major problem in Vietnam. As Vietnam is one of the
most impacted nations by global warming, our government encourages
scientists to focus on food and energy security research.
For a very long time, I have desired to focus my research in drinking
water as it would help solve the water crisis for the people in my country,
especially those who live in the Southern part of Vietnam. With my past
and current experience in environmental research, I have been
familiarized myself with a variety of analytical techniques. Also, I have
participated in seminars, conferences, and grant writing workshops to
sharpen my scientific writing and communication skills. I can easily adapt
to a new environment and have the capacity to work in a team or by
myself. Additionally, I am known to work on tight deadlines while
maintaining the high standards of the assignments.
With my strong scientific background, communication skills, and ability to
adapt, I hope to be a qualified candidate for the PhD opportunity in
