She started as a teacher in the program and moved on to assistant director, and later took over the entire program. Amber worked hard to bring order to a program that was struggling with behavior problems. She pushed for stronger ties between the school and the CLC program so that the after-school teachers would work more with the students on what they were learning in the classroom to enhance the student’s educational achievements. This was a difficult task but | believe that Amber did an amazing job as the learning environment in the after-school program has evolved into a positive experience. ‘Amber also worked with my second grade class for one semester as she completed a field experience under my supervision. She worked well with the children and was always had well-prepared lessons to help the students learn. Amber does a great job with understanding the needs of her students. Classroom management is a strength of Amber’s as she uses a variety of techniques to keep the students behavior under control and their attention on learning. highly recommend Amber Kordes for employment in any school setting as | believe she would be a valuable asset to any educational staff.
