User Agreement

This Agreement is made on: _______________(Date) by L.G. Pinkston High School (School),
_____________ (Parent(s)) and _____________ (Student) for the receipt and use of electronic
equipment provided by Hewlett Packard Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as HP).
Upon receipt from L.G. Pinkston High School a laptop with the Hewlett Packard Asset ID no. ________
(Laptop), the student agrees to the following:

Student agrees to maintain possession of the Laptop upon receipt of said Laptop through the duration
of the students enrollment in the school, up to and including the date of the students graduation.
The student agrees the Laptop will be returned to the school no later than ten (10) business days after
the students graduation.
At any time the student ceases enrollment at the school, the student agrees to return the Laptop to the
school.
During the period that the Laptop is in the students possession, the student agrees to maintain Laptop
in good condition.
The student will have no right to sell the Laptop or allow the Laptop to be used by any person other
than the student.
The student agrees to not purposely break or damage the Laptop.
If the Laptop should sustain any damage or is lost or stolen while in the student possession, the
student agrees to notify the school as soon as reasonably possible.
The student agrees to use only school authorized software, which software will be provided
exclusively by the school and/or HP. In no event will the student install any other software without
written permission from the school.
The student will be solely liable for any unauthorized or illegal material installed onto the Laptop.
The student agrees to surrender the Laptop temporarily to the school for random laptop checks. The
Laptop will be returned to the student no later than three (3) days after the Laptop is received by the
school.
THE STUDENT AGREES TO WAIVE ANY CLAIMS FOR ANY BODILY INJURY OR
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OCCURRING BY THE STUDENTS POSSESSION OR USE OR
OPERATION OF THE LAPTOP UNLESS SUCH INJURY OR DAMAGE IS CAUSED BY
THE ACT OR NEGLIGENCE OF THE SCHOOL, HP OR ITS AGENTS, EMPLOYEES OR
CONTRACTORS.
