Content Objectives for the Lesson:
Students will be able to perform a mock job interview
Learning Objectives for Students:
Students will be able to distinguish between good and bad interviews
Students will be able to identify what to do or dont in a job interview by comparing and contrasting both
situations.
Students will be able to recognize common questions in a typical job interview
Language Objectives for Students:
Students will write the new words in a written mock job interviews.
Students will write and distinguish between since/for in their job mock interview
Starter:
Students will fill a KWL chart about job interview.
Class Procedures:
Students are working in groups and individually based on the lesson activities.

Each student in a group has his/her role, and will circle their names so the teacher knows their work. If
students work in a team and participate in class, they will all get the same points by stamping their daily
participation paper.
Class Work (Questions/Activities):
Students will do a life skills activity (worksheet) where they perform a mock interview to one of their
classmates.
Students will watch a short YouTube video about good and bad job interviews.

Students will discuss and answer some questions about the YouTube video

Worksheet where students will include the common questions in a job interview
Answering the questions about the YouTube video. (Group work)
Students will do the assessment worksheet on p. 64d about work experience

Those students will create more questions that an interviewer may ask and predict the answers to these
questions.

interview.
