Describe your artifact:

While taking part in this project I created an effective web quest and body composition
presentation for the college population and the aging adult population. I found different ways to
target body composition for each population as well as a variety of workouts that each population
can do to target body composition.

I feel that this artifact aligns with the STANDARD NUMBER FOUR- LEADERSHIP- THE
HEALTH PROMOTER LEADS BY FACILITATING THE DEVELOPMENT, ARTICULATION,
IMPLEMENTATION, AND STEWARDSHIP OF A VISION OF HEALTHY LIFESTYLE THAT IS
SHARED BY THE HEALTH PROMOTION COMMUNITY. I feel this because I was able to lead
the client in exercises specific to body composition, as well as provide information to the client
for training methods. I was able create a vision of healthy lifestyle that clients can use by the
information provided on the variety of topics I covered for a college population and aging adult.
Also, provide client with specific exercises that the client can do to target body composition.

I feel that this artifact aligns with the KSD1.c. SELECTS INTRUCTIONAL/TRAINING GOALS
The candidate can establish clearly written goals that reflect the curriculum framework and
standards, and can articulate high expectations that permit viable methods of assessment and
account for varying learning needs and styles, and prior knowledge because I am able to create
client workouts and assessments for my target group. I have the knowledge of body composition
and the exercises needed to target body composition. I have clearly written goals and workout
plans for clients to use to help target body composition, and have set up assessment plans for me
as well as the client to account for learning and knowledge of the content.

Explain what you learned about teaching/learning from this experience:

Through this health related component project I learned that there are a variety of ways to target
body composition as well as many different exercises that pertain to body composition. I learned
that there has to be different exercises for each population of clients because each population has
a different level of fitness level and understanding of health wellness.

Explain what you learned about yourself as a prospective health promotion specialist as a result of
this experience/artifact:

I learned from myself while gathering information about the health related component is that I
am able to provide information to a various population that is interested in body composition.
Also, I am able to provide the necessary resources to clients about body composition as well as
workouts that the client can take part in to target a healthy body composition. Lastly, I learned
that I can breakdown different exercises for the aging population and younger adult population.
