Dear Mr Peter OSullivan,

I am currently seeking employment as a classroom teacher (Primary) in Ho Chi Minh City
(Saigon). I would like to enquire about whether there is or will be an available position at the
Australian International School, Saigon.
My partner, Steve is currently working with the company, Trainor Asia Ltd, indefinitely and I
am excited about the possible opportunity to teach in an International School such as AIS.
I strongly believe that I would be a valuable asset as a teacher at the Australian International
School. I am a committed and enthusiastic teacher with a relaxed, easy-going personality. I
have demonstrated my ability to develop strong mutual relationships with students, staff,
parents and the community. I am also able to work well as part of a team. I am committed to
my own professional development and am able to reflect positive morals and values to all
students.
In todays fast-paced and continually changing society I feel a strong responsibility to support
children in their development and understanding of the world. As a professional teacher I aim
to educate students for a successful and resilient life full of opportunities and choices.
With a passion and enthusiasm for learning myself, I aim to instil this appreciation for life-long
learning within my cohort of students, equipping them with the essential skills, knowledge and
capabilities to become successful self-directed learners. Inturn they will thrive as confident and
creative individuals who will become active and informed citizens of contemporary society.
Any response would be greatly appreciated as I am sure you can understand that this is a very
new experience for me, however, one that I am eagerly anticipating.
I look forward to discussing any teaching opportunities that may be available at your school in
2012.

Yours sincerely,

Alexandra Andrews
