children, especially those who walk
barefooted or contact with sand and
soil

Definition
Creeping eruption is a skin disease of
humans which characterised by a
raised,erythemathous and linear which is
often accompanied by intense pruritus. It is
caused by hookworms which originates from
cats or dogs

Etiology
Caused by larvae of animal hookworms,
Ancylostoma braziliense and Ancylostoma
caninum. Ancylostoma braziliense is the
most common offender

Patogenesis

Clinical Manifestation

Stinging
Tingling
Burning sensation
Edemathous
Erythematous pruritic papule
Serpiginous track

Predilection Area
The main affected areas are dorsum of
the feet, lower legs, arms and hands.
The buttocks,thighs and abdomen also
may be involved, probably due to lying
directly on contaminated sand.
