Writers Workshop
Our young authors will be getting ready to write their
chosen living thing in the format of an All About book.

Math: Shape and Space

Recognizing shapes in the environment and relating


2-D and 3-D shapes to real objects.
Reinforcing and developing vocabulary to describe
shapes.

Unit of Inquiry: Living things

Easter Egg Hunt

This week, the Kindergarten children will be continuing


their research on their chosen animal and start writing
either a book or making a poster about their chosen
animal.

We had a great time celebrating Easter with
decorating eggs and an egg hunt. Thank you for
all the donations and your support to make it
happen.
Conferences- Thank you for attending the
conferences last week. It was great to talk to you
about your childs progress. I know that the time
was short, if you have any other concerns please
email or stop by. If you have not received the
conference notes send me an email. I believe I
sent them all but I have missed someone.

Decorating eggs

Student thoughts: Tell us a wow fact about


your living thing!
Yasmine- Owls get most of their food by killing birds.
Andy: Raccons paws are like hands.
Iacopo- Some people kill bears.
Etamar- Instead of fighting, cheetahs run away from
predators, they only fight when they arent scared.
Eva- Frogs have strong legs.
Elle- Cats dont like it when people pick the up.
Matei- Bats use echolaction to find out where to go.
Alexandra- Parrots dont like to be looked at by
people, it scares them.
Arwa- Baby elephants are born blind.
Jawad Tigers are so long, they can be 3 meters long
and weight more than 300 pounds.
