Bo Jackson

Childhood
Bo Jackson grew up in
bessemer,Al. His real name is
Vincent Jackson. He got Bo
from his brothers, and friends
it was originally boar hog, but
they cut it short and it became
Bo. When he was a kid he was
so strong he killed pigs by just
throwing rocks at them.He had
to pay the man for killing those
pigs. When he was 13 he
played against men playing
baseball. When he was in high
school The New york Yankees
coach came to see Bo Jackson
do some batting practice. He
hit the ball so hard it hit the
back pole in the batting cage
and knocked down the whole
batting cage. The New York
Yankees said they seen enough
and gave him a million dollar
contract to play with them after
he graduate school, But he
turned it down.

NFL CAREER
In 1986 Bo was the first pick in the NFL draft by the Tampa bay
Buccaneers. Due to Bos feelings to this organization he refused to
sign with them and did not began his NFL career until one year later.
In 1987 Vincent Bo Jackson made his NFL debut with the Los
Angeles Raiders. In his 3 year career he rushed for a total of 2,782
yards and scored 16 touchdowns. Bo is most known for his 1987
Monday night game versus the Seattle Seahawks, Where he rushed
for 221 yards and embarrassed his rival Brian Bosworth. After a
serious hip injury in 1990 Bos Football career came to a
disappointing end.

College sports career


Bo jackson was amazing in high
school for football and baseball.
So one day he walked in his
house after school and the
Alabama football coach was
sitting there with his mom. The
coach said he would love Bo to
come and play there, but
wouldn't be able to play until he
was at least a junior or senior. Bo
turned that down and attended
Auburn University. He played
baseball there as well. Bo
Jackson was amazing at football
there. He was waiting on the end
game of his season which would
be The Iron Bowl against
Alabama and Auburn. In that
game Auburn was down by 3 and
Bo jackson told his coach he was
a high school long jump and high
jump record holder, he said he
could just run and jump over
Alabama team. He did exactly
what he said he would and won
the game. That year he won the
Heisman trophy.

Vincent Bo Jackson played professional football and baseball in the


late 1980s and early 90s. He played 4 years with the Kansas city
Royals, 2 years with the Chicago white sox, and ended his career with
the California Angels. In 1989 Bo Jackson earned the MLB All- Star
game MVP, with an impressive back to back home runs. He was the
first player to have two home runs and a stolen base in an All- Star
game. During one of his regular season game versus the Orioles he
scaled the outfield wall to catch a would be homer, and threw the
baserunner out at the home plate. Although plagued with injuries
during his short career Bo Jackson is still regarded as one of the most
exciting baseball player in history.
