Environmental administrations play significant part in the apprehension of faunal conservation.

Physical
habitat alteration and revision of urbanized land plans are often faulty deliberated. These result to hostility
and rancor. Such ecological dilemma must be obliviated beforehand through rational argument, thus
assessing the effects to the species. These problems vary and are proactive. Therefore, effective policies
are needed( Rafiean, 2012).
Understanding the spatial pattern of ecosystem services is important for effective environmental policy
and decision-making. In this study, we use a geospatial decision-support tool (Marxan) to identify
conservation priorities for habitat and a suite of ecosystem services (storage carbon, soil retention and
water yield) in the Upper Paran Atlantic Forest from Misiones, Argentinaan area of global
conservation priority. Using these results, we then evaluate the efficiency of existing protected areas in
conserving both habitat and ecosystem services. Selected areas for conserving habitat had an overlap
of carbon and soil ecosystem services. The Marxan analysis aims to achieve representation of
conservation targets while considering human impacts. The ability to spatially quantify this interaction
provides a basis for strategic planning and fosters debate on conservation needs. Examples of
conservation targets used in Marxan are species occurrences [ 24,25], ecological systems or habitats
[24,26,27], and ecosystem services [28]. Here we use Marxan to identify conservation priorities for
habitat and a suite of ecosystem services, with site selection optimized for an efficient solution in a
dynamic landscape. (Izquierdo, 2012)
This paper demonstrates how the power form of the SpeciesArea Relationship (SAR) can be used to
set conservation targets for land classes using biodiversity survey data. We also demonstrate that not
all land classes are equal from a plant biodiversity perspective, so applying one target to all land
classes in a region will lead to significant gaps and inefficiencies in any reserve network based on this
universal target. (Desmet, 2004)
