Objectives

After completing this lesson, the student will be understand the failure of American
troops in their battles against British and Canadians forces by watching a short
YouTube video and listening to a lecture via Prezi. Students will critically think by
providing predications about the outcome of the war and analyze their predications
following the video and Prezi.

Rationale

This lesson will detail the major battles and conflicts between the British, Canadians, Native
Americans, and American forces in the War of 1812. This was a testament to solidify
American independence as well as the resolve of the nationalism that fueled the war into
existence.
