This is a photograph taken with a digital camera, then possibly printed out and simply crumpled to create this caved in effect on the head. The lighting of this image is quite bold, and this is due to the black backdrop which puts the prime focus on the subjects head. As you can see from the image, the photographer has taken away an supposed 'imperfections' by zooming in close to remove it from a real life human context.

The mood In this image is quite difficult to pick
out but I think that the image as a whole has a light comical view, making the human head look extremely abnormal, this is emphasised by the big dent in the subjects head.
Links to Own work:
This links in with my own title of Flaws and Imperfections because as you can see from the image, the photographer has taken away an supposed imperfection by zooming in close to remove it from a real life human context, as you can see from the image it doesnt look like a human hand, but something much more complex. Content:
Process:
The content in this image consists of a human
head which looks like it has caved in, leaving a big dent in the top of the head, also just above the eye there is a fold, which looks like it is giving off some emotion in the image, this is also seen in the mouth. All of the folds and creases in the image give the 2D image a 3D look, which further adds to the emotion of the image.
The process that the
photographer has undertaken to achieve this image is that he could have taken a simple profile picture, then printed it out and folded it and creased it, once he had done this, position it onto a black dropdown and photograph again, this gives the head a caved in effect, this also adds shadow and tone to the image.
