    thiscartoon,youcanalsoseethatStalinisplacinghisflagofcommunismrightonRussia,and
    itsnocoincidence.Forexample,mostofRussiasrailnetworkwasbeingusedforslavetrains
    fullofcaptivescomingfromtheBalticstates.Overall,thiscartoonshowshowStalinwasa
    greedymanobsessedwithpower,andbecauseofhispoliticalposition,thedictatoroftheSoviet
    Union,hewasabletospinhiswebincountlesscountriesandbringdeathtomillionsofinnocent
    people.

    ElenaPetrauskasofLithuaniawasdeclareddeadyesterdaymorning,June20th,1943,
    duetoextrememalnourishmentandexhaustion.Elena,anonlychild,wasbornonApril16,
    1930,inVilnius,Lithuania,toherparentsLejaandLukasPetrauskas.ShegrewupinVilnius
    andattendedschoolupuntilJune14th,1941,whensheandherfamilyweretakenfromtheir
    homeandthrownintocattlecars.Elenawasseparatedfromherparentsduringthecommotion,
    andwasforcedontoadifferenttraincar.Sheneversawthemagain.FollowingElenas
    monthlongjourneyfromLithuaniatoSiberia,shewasplacedataworkcamp.Fortwoyears,
    shereceivedamere300gramsofbreadforanentiredayswork,andeventually,Elenacouldno
    longerbearherconstantexhaustionandhunger.Elenasstoryissimilartomanyothersduring
    thistime,andLithuanianscanonlyhopethatthisterrorendssoon.

    foodfromyourplaceofwork.Nomatterhowhungryyouare,ifyouarecaughtstealingfood,
    youandyourfamilycouldbeseverelypunished.Also,trytofeedyouranimalsifyoucan,as
    theycanbeusedformeatinthelatermonthsofthefamine.Survivalisgoingtobehard,

    especiallyforthechildren,sofeedingthemhastobeatoppriority.TheUkraineisbeingforced
    intothisfaminebytheSovietUnion,ledbydictatorJosefStalin,anduntilhefeelsthatwehave
    sufferedenough,hewillnotletuponhisstrictrulesandhighwheatquotas.Dothebestthatyou
    canduringthesehardtimes,andhopeforabettertomorrow.
