Lesson Plan

A. Factual Information
Name: Anne Bernalyn Liwanag
Day, date, and time of lesson: Wednesday, October 3rd 2012
Grade and level of students: Grade 2, Cycle 1
Brief description of students: Group 203 is a very well behaved class with the
exception of 1 or 2 students who have a habit of talking without raising their hand.
Overall, the group works well but sometimes they tend to get a little loud.
Professional teaching competency focused: I will be working on classroom
management. More specifically, I want to work on discipline. I want to work on being
more strict with regards to letting them use the bathroom or going out to drink water.
B. Objectives and Problems
Topic area/theme: Fruits and vegetables (Thanksgiving)
General aim: Familiarize students with different fruits and vegetables in English.
Specific objective(s): By the end of this lesson, the students will be able to recognize
different fruits and vegetables and to name them in English.
Evaluation criteria

Demonstration of understanding of oral messages.


Use words, string of words and short expressions.

Related content/essential knowledge: (from the QEP)

Anticipated Language: salad, fruits (names of many different fruits), vegetables


(names of many different vegetables)

Anticipated problems
1) Problem: Students may be confused as to whether something is a fruit or a
vegetable. (Example: tomatoes are fruits but are considered vegetables by many)
Solution: For any confusion, the teacher will have the students look up the word
in the dictionary and it should clear up any confusion.
