Summary
I am a creative, organized and ambitious individual who is in the process of attaining a Bachelor
of Education at the University of Windsor. As a Junior/Intermediate teacher specializing in
English, I am looking forward to sharing my enthusiasm and love for literature and writing with
students. As a new teacher I will strive to continually excel within the classroom. I feel I am at
the beginning of a career of service that will hopefully give back to an educational community
that has given me so much personal experience.

This first practicum consisted of three full weeks within an elementary school, in which I was in
charge of the daily one hundred minute Literacy block as well as the daily fifty-minute
Mathematic block. My responsibilities included lesson planning, developing creative projects
and assignments as well as rubrics for assessment.

This second practicum I completed was three weeks in which I had the responsibility of teaching
the daily one hundred minute Literacy block as well as the daily fifty-minute Mathematic block
as well as Geography and History. I was required to implement a full Math unit plan on
Patterning and Algebra. My responsibilities included lesson planning, developing creative
projects and assignments, rubrics for assessment and also completing all marking. Classroom
management and various differentiated instruction tactics were the focal point of this practicum.
Different strategies were utilized to ensure maximum student participation and achievement.
