PD: let's talk about sex, baby! I learned the importance being a role model for students to trust in for student to talk to openly so that I can get help from the counselor or the nurse. I could use the information I learned about STDs to enhance a biology lesson in upper secondary classes.

Please respond to the following prompts:
1. Summarize the key points you learned from this Professional Development experience. I learned the importance being a role model for students to trust in for student to talk to openly so that I can get help from the counselor or the nurse. I was provided with many pamphlets on a spectrum of topics such as diseases, pregnancy, and so on. 2. Discuss how these key points connect to your content area. I could use the information I learned about STDs to enhance a biology lesson in upper secondary classes. Also, I think it is important for all content majors to know this information. 3. Share how you might use this new information in your future classroom I would be able to use this information in my classroom if a student came to me privately and asked me a question. I could provide them with the pamphlets I was provided with and I could send them to a counselor or a nurse as soon as they asked me these questions. I would hope that I would be trusted enough so that a student could come to me and ask questions if they have no one else to ask about sex so that I could get help for them from a professional.
