1. Summarize the key points you learned from this Professional Development experience.
With this PDU, I have learned how important it is to work as a team with other
educators, to become a member of the profession, and to support the community. I believe that
Kappa is a wonderful place to meet fellow educators that believe in the same importance of
education as you.
2. Discuss how these key points connect to your content area.
Although this PDU does not directly relate to my content, I think it is important for all
Teacher Candidates to be a member of Kappa Delta Pi. We are a wonderful honor society that
supports the community. We support schools that are in low SES areas, and we think that it is
extremely important to do so. Those students know that someone cares about them when we
bring them books to read, and do various activities with them.
3. Share how you might use this new information in your future classroom
I may share some of my memories of Kappa Delta Pi in my future classroom and how
important it is to join a group who is passionate about the same things you are passionate
about.
