Semester Long Project Proposal: Women Culture Around The World
The topic my group has chosen for our project is women culture around the world. We
came up with the idea because we come from different cultures. We also have a diverse family.
My group figured out focusing on one gender would make our project more effective. Our
project will show different aspects in cultures. We will discuss cultural traditions in each culture.
We will also explain the purpose of why women dress the way they do. I will use the linguistic
mode for telling my information. I will provide bullet points to keep the information short and
simple. I will also use the visual mode to show pictures to reflect my research. Spatial mode will
be used to organize the information. The information will be on one side and the picture on the
other side. The organization will help the audience view the research and the picture clearly.
I plan on creating a detailed power point presentation for my semester long project. I plan
to use transitions between the slides to attract the readers attentions. The slide may fade out or
slide up depending on which transition is chosen. I also plan to use different colors for the
background to bring attention to the audience and make the information stand out. I will use the
internet as my main resource for finding my research. I plan to use pictures to show the
differences in the cultures. I will use my research on different women cultures and incorporate it
into my presentation.

My proposed plan is effective because it shows a summary of what my project is about. It
is also effective because it shows how I am going to present my research. Also, my proposal
provides key topics that I will include in my power point. My audience should care about my
topic, because it will inform them about other cultures with women. They should care about this
presentation in case they want to go to another country or if they ever meet someone of a
different culture. My audience will already be knowledgeable on the traditions.
I am responsible for providing the difference in the Middle East among women. I am also
responsible for explaining why the Middle East gets particular surgeries done. I will also provide
information about Indian women culture and traditions. Symone will be responsible for
informing the class about the Ganguro style, Himba women, and American girls. Chloe will be
responsible for the purpose of Bendis Burkas and Hijabs.
My group and I will complete out our tasks each week. On Thursday, March 12, my
group will have all of their information ready when we meet. On Thursday, March 19, my group
will meet again and we will have our slides ready to peer review. On Tuesday, March 24, we will
put all of our information together into one presentation. On April 2, we will practice our
presentation.
