From the years I have worked on my writing process, I feel that I improved the most during high school. Specifically, I feel that I developed my research skills the most. In high school, I had to write many papers and research a lot about my topics. My teachers helped me develop research skills, how to cite sources, and the importance of finding research. From years of writing papers, I mostly worked on my research skills. All of my classes required research for my papers and learning this skill early in high school was vital. Researching facts and citing them in a paper is one of the most important skill for writers. Finding credible facts and information and citing it correctly in a paper causes the paper to be more credible, and better overall. I learned the importance of finding credible information during high school and later I learned how to properly cite this information. Citing sources is just as important as finding the information itself. If the information used in a paper is not cited correctly, the information is then unreliable and possibly plagiarized. Plagiarized work cannot be accepted and makes the paper less credible.
