PROM I SI NG POETS
I am creative and stylish
I wonder if the sky will ever stop spinning
I hear the wolf howling in the night before I sleep
I see the world before me go dark
I am creative and stylish
I understand that if we don't stop what we do
we won?t have a world to live in
I say we will get through this
I dream of a better world
I try to keep the world a better and safe place
I hope I can wake up from this nightmare and hope it
was a dream
I am creative and stylish

The air is cold
We bundle up good
Out we head to score on the net
The puck comes fast
No time to think
I take my stick and whack
I score a goal!

"What If"
What if I could play for the Seahawks?
I might play volleyball in the Olympics,
What if I had all the Nerf guns there were?
I could eat cotton candy everyday for my whole life,
What if I could win a billion dollars?
I would be the most famous athlete in the world,
What if all of this came completely true?

"Football"
On the field warming up
The big game of the year
The roar of the crowd
Go Team! Go!
My heart beats faster
We huddle before we play
We line up then we say
Go,set,hut
That's all I hear and we're off
I see bodies colliding together
The play is in action
The roaring of the crowd
We make the winning points
The big game of the year!

"Regrets"
I am regretting saying my secrets to you
You exploited them to the world
I trusted you and
You hated me
Why you say am I mad at you
I say because my secrets aren't secrets anymore

"BEING DIFFERENT"
Being different isn?t always easy
They stare at you and it tends to make you queasy
The way they see you isn?t for who you are
It?s for the stereotypes that have brought you this far
But never stop being yourself
Because you are the one on the higher shelf
You are the best that you can be
You be you and I?ll be me
I love you just the way you are
You are a beautiful, unique, shining star
If they don?t love you how I do,
Find new friends because yours aren?t true blue
Being different is sometimes hard
But you can make it through, you are a shining STAR!

Book Review :
Diary of a W impy Kid: Dog Days
By Cartrell W eathers
The best part of the book is when
Greg realizes that a public pool is
filled with germs.
Wow! Diary of a Wimpy Kid was one
of the best books I ever read. On a
scale of 1-10 I will rate it as a 9.
I would recommend this book to 6-8
graders.

Hello,
My

I'm so frustrated!
Thanks

Panther Bucks
By Cartrell Weathers
Be sure to collect more Panther Bucks. You can earn Panther Bucks by doing good
deeds for others. So, if you see so someone drop a pencil or something, be kind
and pick it up for them. That will surely earn you a Panther Buck. Also, you can
earn Panther Bucks by being respectful and responsible. There are many reasons
you should want to earn Panther Bucks. One is because if your study hall collects
a lot of bucks, you will all get a chance to play a dodge ball game during study
hall. So keep collecting those Panther Bucks!

My name is Thom, pronounced as tum as in tummy. I
should tell you that I?m in love. Today is the Valentine?s
Day Dance. I don?t have a date, but I?m going anyway.
Maybe...she will be there. By she I mean, Nora Stonem.
Even though she barely knows me. It's a shame, too,
because I love her.
I?m walking to school right now and-oh my god. She?s right
there. Nora is crossing the street, whoa, she?s walking
towards me. Nora is now strolling next to me...what do I
do?
?Hi, Thom.? Nora said in her singsong voice.
?Uh...er...hi.....Nora...? I answered awkwardly. The rest of
our promenade was stuck in uncomfortable silence.
When we reached the school, we split in separate ways
to our lockers. I was blushing as I reached the classroom,
because I had never even spoken to her before.
Everyone in first period was getting lots of valentines
and I, well, I got none, as usual. That?s alright though,
because maybe I?ll see Nora again today. That thought
always brings a smile to my face, Nora.
Nora just happened to be in my fifth period class, which
was music. Today we were presenting projects about our
favorite bands. Mine is about My Chemical Romance, Fall
Out Boy, and Panic! At The Disco. Some people call them
the emo trinity, I just call them life.
I presented second to last, nobody seemed to like, or
even pay attention, to my presentation. Except Nora. Nora
presented last, and guess what? Her presentation was
about the exact same bands I wrote mine about. It?s got to
be destiny or fate or whatever.
At the end of class, Nora approached me with a grin upon
her beautiful face.
?I loved your project, Thom!? she said, over pronouncing
my name. ?Tuuumm?is how she said it, I loved it. I think
maybe I?ll pronounce it like that from now on. That was
the moment that I knew. I knew I had to ask her to the
dance. Oh...oh...she already left with some of her friends.
Ugh, he is in that group. By he, I mean, Kian. Kian is
everything that I?m not. Sporty, popular, handsome, and
now he?s trying to steal my girl.
The rest of the day I slowly planned how to ask her,
subtly and sweet. I went home after school and picked
out the swaggest outfit. I ended up choosing a neon
green suit. It makes me stand out, just a little. It matches
the dress I heard her talking about with her friends, I?m
not a stalker at all, I promise.
I walked to the dance full of excitement and hope and
some tacos (my mom made me eat before I left the
house). Apparently it?s 6:04, fashionably late. By four
minutes.
When I entered the building, close to no one was there. I
decided to get some snacks and punch while I waited for
her to arrive.
She arrived with Kian, that jerk. I requested them to play
My Chemical Romance while I asked her to dance, I didn?t
even care what song, as long as it was them.
Suddenly I?m Not Okay (I Promise) came on; I rushed
through the large crowd of boisterous teens. She looked
up as she heard the guitar come in. I walked up to her
slowly, breathing fast, my heart was racing and my hands
were clammy.
?Nora. Will you dance with me?? I
asked speaking very fast.
?Alright. You don?t mind, right,
Kian?? Nora questioned already
standing up. Kian growled. I
took her hand and led her to
the dance floor. Together we
sang every lyric and danced our
hearts out. It was magical. When
the
song ended a slow song came on, and
almost automatically, Kian jumped in before I could say
anything and Nora danced with him.
Then the worst part came, she kissed him. She made the
move. Not him, her.
I stormed out of the building with rage.
Nothing ever goes my way. Right as I started screaming, a
car pulled in front of me. The window rolled down slowly,
?Are you okay?? the voice asked.
?NO! I?M NOT OKAY!? I shouted at the vehicle.
But that?s when I realized, Gerard Way had asked me the
question and the car, which was actually a limo, was full
of the rest of the band. Ray, Frank, Mikey, and Bob all
smirked, thinking of their song. I started singing the lyrics
not knowing what else to do. They all joined in and
invited me into the car. We drove into the sunset
discussing plans to get the band back together.
