Context for the Task:


Carry Bags are used every day to help us transport items and are very practical. Carry bags can be plain or decorative and also
come in many shapes and sizes. Today many companies have changed their focus to re-usable bags.

Outline of Task:
Research: Plastic Bags (Part 1 - 10%) Due Week 4
Create ONE question that you would like to research about plastic bags.
Possible examples:
- How many bags end up in landfill each year?
- How are plastic bags recycled?
- What effect do plastic have on Australian wildlife?
Select an appropriate digital method to present your finding. Aim for 1-3 paragraphs of information for
your question.

Design Brief: Carry Bag (Part 2 - 15%) Due Week 9


You have decided to make a Carry Bag for your sports shoes. Use your expertise in designing and making
to create a distinctive, hand-crafted Shoe Carry Bag. The product must be made from textile materials.
Specifications
Design an individually crafted Shoe Carry Bag.
Produce the item you have designed, using textile materials.
The product must incorporate the use of one or more methods of fabric decorations, such as;
appliqu; quilting; hand and machine embroidery; fabric paints, pens, crayons; trims such as
buttons, braid, ribbon and beads. More than one method may be used, including methods other
than those listed above.
