Muscle Contraction-Wait what HAPpened?

Muscle Contraction Video Assignment


My friend is a genetic counselor in a hospital near my hometown.
Recently she has come across a set of new patients who have rare genetic
disorders that all affect muscle contraction. One of her duties as a genetic
counselor is to provide new patients with information about their condition.
Being that these conditions are so rare, she wants to supply her patients with
as much information as possible.
Knowing that you all, my students, are learning about the muscular
system she is asking for your help. She wants to provide her patients with an
informative video about each of their conditions. Here are her criteria that
she would like the video to include:

a visual representation and explanation of how muscle


contraction works
a visual representation and explanation for what goes wrong in
the condition AND how that affects the muscle contraction cycle
the video should be explained and formatted in a way that is
easily understood by patients with little knowledge in how
muscle contraction works

Nowheretogo Disorder: Myosin head is broken, it grabs on but it cannot slide
Stuckonyou: Myosin head cannot detach from cross-bridge formation
