2015 Law Enforcement Torch Run

This is an open invitation for you and/or your agencys participation. This years
Torch Run will again be from the East Ridge Training Center: 270 Cumbo Road
(Behind James Rumsey in Hedgesville) to the Martinsburg High School track on
Bulldog Boulevard. As in the past, the route will be down Ridge Road, Dry Run
Road to Tennessee Avenue past the park (NOTE: if bridge is still closed, run will
turn right onto OLD MILL ROAD), onto King Street, onto Raleigh Street, and
finally onto Bulldog Boulevard, and once around the track (8.3 miles). The run
will start sharply at 6:20 a.m. and conclude at the Martinsburg High school track
around 8:00 a.m. Be at the training center behind James Rumsey no later than
6:00 a.m. for a 6:10 a.m. photograph of the group of runners and participants.
We are requesting each agency provide at least one (01) cruiser to assist with
traffic, safety of the runners, and to represent each department accordingly. There
will be transportation available for runners who cant make the full 8.3 miles and
will take all runners back to the training center after the run. Please encourage
your members to participate in the run, its for a good cause and the athletes
really enjoy seeing the police officers start their ceremonies! If you do have
runners, ask them wear a T-shirt with their agency logo/name, to identify each
runner/agency. Any questions call me. Thanks!
