9.20 Forotherfarmers,aservicechargeof200/service/annumwillbecharged,inadditiontocharges

9.21 Electricitywillbesuppliedunder thetariffcategorySmallfarmerstothose consumerswhose
families are solelydependent on the income derived from their agricultural and holding, which
should not exceed two and half acres of wetland or five acres of dry land. A certificate to this
effect from Revenue authority shall be produced. "Small farmer means a person whose total
holding, whether as owner, tenant or mortgaged with possession or partly in one capacity and
partly in another, does not exceed twoandhalf acres of wetland so five acres of dry land.
Incomputingtheextentoflandheldbyapersonwhoholdsbothwetanddrylands,twoacresof
drylandshallbetakenasequivalenttooneacreofwetland.
9.22 Theaboveconcessionwillbewithdrawnifresaleofenergyorunauthorizedload/extensionoruse
forotherpurposeisdetectedbytheDepartment.
9.23 Agricultural powerloadsbelow3H.P.willbechargedunderGeneralCategory TariffA1.Abonafide
farmermayusehismotorintheAgriculturalServiceforalliedagriculturalpurposessuchassugar
canecrushing,thrashingetc.WiththepriorapprovalofconcernedExecutiveEngineer(Operation
&Maintenance),ElectricityDepartment.
