    IreadanawesomepoemcalledFinalScore.ThepoetisLeeBennettHopkins
    andthegenreofthispoemisrealisticfiction.Ichosetowriteaboutthispoembecause
    itteachesavaluablelesson.Itteacheshowwhengamesareover,youdontneedtogo
    backtothemandplayandargueaboutthegamesagain.Eventhoughthepoem
    doesnttellyoumuchaboutaboutthelesson,ituseswordsandphrasesthatdescribe
    wellenoughwhattheauthoristryingtotellyou.Ithinkthatthelessonisvery
    importanttouseindailylife.Ittellsyounottothinktoomuchaboutwhatispastbutit
    tellsyouindisguisethatyoushouldtryhardernexttime.
    ThequestionsandthoughtsIhadaboutthispoemarelistedbelow:

    Didtheauthorexperienceaneventsimilartotheonedescribedinthepoem?
    Didshedothemistakeofthinkingtoomuchaboutafailureinthepast?

    Whenasimplegame,likeagameingymendsandyouhavelost,youmayfeel
    upset,butlateryoudontfeelasupsetasyouwerefeelingbefore.

    Oneshouldlearnfromhis/hermistakesandmakeitrightinthenexttime

    Wedonthaveanycontroloverpasteventsbutwecanmakeourfuturebetter

    Ithinkthebigideaofthepoemisafteragameisdone,itisdone.Youdontneedtogo
    backandtrytoshowthatyouarebetterthansomeone.

    InthepoemFinalscoretherewereafewpoeticdevices.WhenIreadthe
    poem,Icouldspotafewrhymingwords.Likeinthefollowingphrases:

    Inthetwostanzas,youcanseehowinthelastwords,therhyme.Ballrhymeswithfall.
    Notonlythat,butinthetwomiddlesentencesinbothstanzas,bothlastwordsofthe
    sentencesrhyme.Battingandkicking(fromgivenstanzano.1)maynotrhyme

    completely,butbothhavetheendingofing.Stumblingandfumbling(fromgiven
    stanzano.2)bothrhymenicely.Theyhavethephrasesumblinginthem.Whilethere
    isrhyme,thereisalsorepetition.Likeinthephrasesbelow.

    poetry,andunderstandinghowmostpoemshaveinterestingideas,andtheyleave
