In this thoughtful piece, Dr Ambar decries the present
focus of education that serves to flood the market with
specialized products, rather than produce humane and
compassionate individuals. She correlates increasing
egoism and individualism with the neo liberal agenda and
suggests ways and means how this could be corrected
e.g. encouraging creativity and fostering humanity into
the curriculum. Since we seem to be stuck with
capitalism, atleast for the time being, educators would do
well to head her words and take the necessary steps.
